https://assw.info/past-assws/assw-2023/assw-2023-programDecolonising Arctic research is a fundamental aim of Indigenous rights holders and Arctic scholars today, as reflected in various pan-Arctic declarations. The co-creation of knowledge based on scientific knowledge and Indigenous knowledge has the potential to cross transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary boundaries in all Arctic research fields and improve knowledge of the Arctic human, technological and environmental dimensions. This workshop brought together Indigenous rights holders, Indigenous and non-Indigenous scholars from different fields. Its objectives were to (1) develop recommendations for co-creative methods and decolonial-driven research projects and (2) inform the academic community about the current state of collaborative and inclusive methods in Arctic research.
