With a particular focus on natural sciences, this one-day virtual workshop brought together Indigenous rightsholders and researchers to learn and discuss decolonizing Arctic research. First, participants learned about and reflected on Indigenous self‐determination and approaches in research. Then, a panel of Indigenous scholars shared their experiences and recommendations for co-creating research projects with full Indigenous inclusion. The group also discussed informing the academic public on the contemporary state of collaborative and co-creative methodology in Arctic research, including a conversation about a collective position paper in Nature Communications journal.
